Illustrating the Grundy’s ongoing commitment to encouraging and celebrating early-year’s creativity, our 2018 Blackpool Schools Exhibition returns with a display of over 200 artworks produced by schoolchildren who visited the Grundy to see our previous exhibition ‘Paper, Canvas, Neon’ (2017).
Inspired by the paintings and drawings in the gallery’s collection, from Pablo Picasso to Eric Ravilious, pupils were given an opportunity to work with Blackpool based artist Tina Dempsey to create new works for exhibition.
This year’s participating schools are: St John Vianney’s Catholic Primary School; Highfurlong School; Shakespeare Primary School; Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School; St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy and Moor Park Primary School
