Grundy welcomes visitors of all ages to explore the exciting exhibitions, activities and workshops we have to offer. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 4.45pm (last admission 4.20pm).

Relaxed hours (monthly) – brighter lighting, quieter audio, 2 1hr slots
Volunteer-led tours
Half-term workshops
School Holiday activities

Families can also explore the self-led activities available in the gallery’s foyer/reception area.

Wheelchair access to all ground floor galleries.
Pushchair/buggy parking (in Reception/Foyer)
Portable seating (located at stations throughout the gallery space, or on request at reception)
Accessibility aids, including: ear defenders, colour overlays, communication boards, magnifying glasses and large print are available for your comfort

Grundy does not have a publicly accessible toilet or baby changing facilities on site. Accessible toilet facilities are available in the Central Library Building, located next door to Grundy. Central Library building is fully accessible. Alternate toilet facilities are available throughout Blackpool. A list of facilitates is available through the Blackpool Council, here.

Wheelchair access to all ground floor galleries. We welcome all type of wheelchairs (manual and electric) and Class 1 and 2 mobility scooters. Where possible, we aim to accommodate Class 3 mobility scooters into our gallery spaces, however, there may be times where this isn’t possible due to the space available. We can offer visitors the use of portable seating. We also welcome Class 3 mobility scooter with prior arrangement.

We welcome registered guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs only in the gallery spaces.

Parking for disabled Blue badge holders is available on Queen Street, and in Queen Street Car Park situated beside the gallery.
Ear defenders, colour overlays, communication boards, magnifying glasses and large print are available for your comfort.
